What is email forwarding?
If you have an email address and you enable forwarding for it, all of the inbound e-mails will be sent to a third-party email address that you choose. The sender won’t be aware of this and he will be sending the e-mail only to the original address. This type of function is effective if you have numerous websites, each with a unique email for contact, for instance. By forwarding all emails to one particular e-mail address, it will be simpler for you to keep a record and not miss a message as you have overlooked to check on a particular email. In case you run a company, you are able to employ this feature to check the e-mails received by different departments. A further advantage is that you are able to use an official address for a number of needs, let’s say admin@ydomain.com, and you can now get all of the messages sent to it inside your private email address. In addition, you can forward e-mail messages from a single email address to numerous ones, if a number of individuals needs to be involved in the email conversation.
What is an email alias?
An email alias is an email address which shares the very same mailbox as a different e-mail address both for the inbound as well as the outbound emails. For example, you are able to create an email address sales@domain.com and it will be connected to its own mailbox. After that, you can create an alias support@domain.com, that can use the mailbox of sales@ and will not have a mailbox of its own. When you look at your emails, you’ll see messages sent to both of the two addresses in one location, which can be far more convenient in some instances because you will not need to sign in and out of various email addresses using Webmail or configure numerous email addresses in an email program. This feature is frequently used as a substitute for forwarding email messages from one email address to another one if numerous email addresses are mentioned for contact on a site.
What is an Auto-Responder email?
An auto-responder email is a an email that is sent from your mailbox as the answer to every email that you get. The content is predetermined and is sent automatically, so each individual that contacts you via electronic mail will receive it the instant their e-mail is received on the server that handles your emails. This function is used if you have to notify individuals about various things, including being out of the office for a specified period or that an purchase has been received and is being prepared. The auto-responder email furthermore operates as a confirmation for the people who make contact with you their email has been received, even if you are not able to read it and get back to them right away. It could include any kind of text of your choosing and also it may be edited depending on the exact occasion.
