The Security & Privacy page in OX App Suite shows every device signed in to your account and lets you sign out the ones you don’t recognise. It’s also where you add two-step verification, create application passwords for other email apps and control whether pictures in emails load automatically. Here’s how to use each section.
Quick answer
Click the gear icon, choose All settings and select Security. Check Your devices and click Sign out next to any session you don’t recognise. Open Two-step verification and click Add verification option to protect your account, and use Application Passwords for other apps.

Step 1: Open Security & Privacy
- Click the gear icon in the top bar to open Quick Settings, then click All settings. (You can also open the apps menu with the ≡ icon and choose Settings.)
- In the Settings list, click Security. The page is titled Security & Privacy.
Step 2: Check the devices signed in to your account
Your devices (“See which devices are currently signed in”) lists each session with the app, browser and operating system, such as “App Suite, Chrome 156 on Linux”. The one you are using is marked Now active; the others show when they were last used.
- Read through the list. As the page advises, “If a device is unfamiliar to you or you cannot explain where a session comes from, it is recommended to stop that session by clicking on ”Sign out“ in the corresponding row.”
- Click Sign out next to any session you don’t recognise.
- To end every session at once, for example after losing a phone, click Sign out from all devices.

Step 3: Turn on two-step verification
- Click Two-step verification (“Add an extra layer of security to your account”).
- Under Verification Options you’ll see “No 2-step verification options configured yet.” if none are set up.
- Click Add verification option and follow the on-screen steps for the method you choose.

We stopped at this point in our test, so the methods on offer depend on your provider.
Step 4: Create an application password
Some email apps and devices can’t use two-step verification. Application Passwords (“Create additional passwords with limited access”) lets you give them their own password instead of your main one.
- Click Application Passwords to expand it.
- Under Add passwords, open Application and pick the app from Choose an application.
- Type a Password name you’ll recognise later, such as “My Phone”, and finish the remaining steps below the fields.

Step 5: Control external images in emails
Pictures loaded from the web can tell a sender that you opened their email. External images in emails (“Restrict showing external images to reduce tracking”) controls this.
- Choose Ask before showing external images for more privacy, or Always show external images (excluding spam and untrustworthy senders).
- To trust particular senders, add them under Always show external images for the following senders.

Tips and troubleshooting
- Don’t see Two-step verification or Application Passwords? Your email provider may not have turned them on. Ask their support team.
- Two sessions on one device? That’s normal. As the page notes, “There might be multiple sessions from the same device.”
- Think someone else has your password? Click Sign out from all devices, then change your password with your provider.
- Unwanted senders? Mail filter rules can move their messages out of your inbox automatically.
If you’re looking for hosted email, Thexyz email includes webmail you can use from any browser, along with calendar and contacts.
