Spam filtering for Thexyz Webmail accounts runs on the server, before messages reach your inbox. You control it from the Thexyz Control Panel on the Filtering tab: where spam goes, how strict the filter is, how long spam is kept and whether you get spam reports. This guide explains each setting as it appears on screen, then shows where to find the Spam folder setting inside Thexyz Webmail.
Quick answer
Sign in to the Control Panel at cp.thexyz.com and open the Filtering tab. Set Send spam to (for example Spam folder), Filter sensitivity and Keep spam for, then click UPDATE SETTINGS. In Thexyz Webmail, right-click your account, choose Properties and check that Spam folder is set to Spam.

Step 1: Open the Filtering tab
- Sign in to the Thexyz Control Panel at cp.thexyz.com with your email address and password.
- Click Filtering in the tab bar under USER CONTROL PANEL. The Filter Settings page opens.
The Spam Quarantine tile on the Home tab is where you can look through messages that the filter has held back.

Step 2: Choose where spam goes and how strict the filter is
- Send spam to: choose what happens to messages marked as spam. Spam folder puts them in the Spam folder in Thexyz Webmail, so you can still check them.
- Filter sensitivity: sets how aggressive the filter is. Regular sensitivity is the starting point; raise it if too much spam gets through, lower it if real mail is being caught.
- Keep spam for: how long spam is kept before it is removed, for example 7 days.
- Click UPDATE SETTINGS.

The other Filter Settings
The same page has more options. Here is what each row controls, with the value shown in our test account:
- Accept e-mails from (Everyone): who can send you mail at all.
- Blacklisted Messages (Delete): what happens to mail from senders you’ve blocked.
- Enable autowhitelist (No): whether senders are added to an allow list automatically.
- Send spam report (Every 12 hours): how often you get an email listing caught spam.
- Spam report format (HTML and TEXT) and Spam Report Content (Latest spam messages): what that report looks like and contains.
- Detect Forged From (No): whether to check for mail pretending to come from a sender it doesn’t.
Change one setting at a time and give it a day or two, so you can tell what made a difference. Click UPDATE SETTINGS after each change.
Step 3: Check the Spam folder in Thexyz Webmail
- In Thexyz Webmail, open E-mail, right-click your account name at the top of the folder list and choose Properties.

- In the E-mail Account window, look under Folders. Spam folder should be set to Spam.

- Click Ok to close the window.
Tips and troubleshooting
- Real mail ends up in Spam. Lower Filter sensitivity slightly, and check the Spam folder or Spam Quarantine regularly so you notice early.
- Too much spam gets through. Raise Filter sensitivity one step and click UPDATE SETTINGS.
- Sort mail from one sender automatically. For rules such as “always move newsletters to a folder”, use incoming rules.
- Changes don’t seem to work. Make sure you clicked UPDATE SETTINGS; leaving the page without it discards the change.
- Spam folder missing. Check the Spam folder field in the account Properties window and pick Spam again if it’s empty.
Thexyz Webmail comes with Thexyz hosted email, so the same mail, calendar, contacts and tasks are available from any browser.
